It was Roadkill Fucker Kennedy’s idea. He’s already in board with raw milk, after all.
I guess the saying is literal now: " the right would eat shit if it meant the left had to smell it".
I said once that Trump could shit his pants, reach down and eat it, and magats would cheer him on and say “real men eat shit” unironically.
I stand by that statement
Oh btw, I got Philly 2023 Chemical Spills Flashbacks seeing this.
I forgot to comment this in my other comment in this post. But my city did a poor job communicating and they first said the water was safe until like 2PM, then they immediately took back their comments and said it was safe until 11:59, then said it was still safe until the next day. Very sus. Practically nobody trusted the government, everyone just rushed to stores, buying all the bottle waters. My parents had to get a friend in NYC to buy bottled water on our behalf.
I feel like we’re about to get A LOT more chemical spills. We’re so fucked.
Wow… What can even be done about this? I don’t want to bathe in and consume shit water :(
Basically, the EPA has been saying “we don’t care what you actually release, so long as the water you release it into is at least [this] clean” after you do it." With this approach, the city has to monitor the water, and they become responsible for whatever anybody dumps in the water anywhere, even outside the city’s jurisdiction. When a cruise ship dumps its sewage tanks overboard 30 miles up current, the city is responsible for that dumping, even though they have no jurisdiction over the ship.
The court said this isn’t acceptable. They said the EPA - not the city - is responsible for the water. The EPA must specify exactly what can and cannot be released. If they aren’t satisfied with the water quality, they have to tell the city to release less, and/or go after the other entities doing the dumping.
This ruling is much ado about nothing.
This is what you get when Nestle have a whisper in his ear.
Watch the price of bottled water skyrocket.
bottled water quality is less regulated than tap water lol
people don’t know that though, they think its safer.
Countertop reverse osmosis systems look more appealing all the time.
Still need to treat with something like chlorine, bromine, or UV afterwords to prevent viruses and such.
RO systems filter out viruses. Googling confirms this.
Well they must be different membranes than we used on the ships, because we had a bromine injection unit before the tanks.
If it’s RO then it’s RO. If it sits there is always a chance of contamination, and if this is a navy ship there is a risk reward ratio.
