Jfc, Catfish

Used to work in nursing homes.

Had a patient that called himself Catfish. While old as hell, and a total asshole to everyone, he was not a dementia patient. He was also a groper, hence why he was my patient on my shifts. He hated me because the one time he tried to grope me to piss me off, I just picked him up and held him there while telling him he really didn’t want to do that.

He tried that shit with other male caregivers, but they would just be verbal in handling it. I could pick a dude that size up and throw him if I wanted to. He got the message, but held a grudge lol.

Anyway, he got caught going around trying to mess with female patients, and targeted the ones unable to do anything about it. But it is really hard to evict a patient, and the admins were pieces of shit in general, and unwilling to even try. So we’d try to keep track of him, but we would have 30 patients or more to take care of so it was impossible to do it well.

But he fucked up and tried it with a new resident, pulling her diaper to the side and trying to finger her. She flipped out and started screaming. This would not normally get much attention, when you’re on a unit where half the patients have some kind of advanced dementia, yelling and screaming is the norm.

But this lady started yelling for caregivers by name.

And, more importantly, after they stopped him and called me to get him back to his room, she told her kids when they came later that day.

Hell was raised, lawsuits threatened, police called, the whole fucking works. Two days later, Catfish was gone. No idea where, what happened, or anything like that, but dude got picked up by family (they never visited, so it was the first I knew he had any) and never came back.
