This is a funny accusation in light of the amarican situation where our leader openly owns multiple businesses in Russia and other foreign nations, to say nothing of selling pardons or any of the other blatant corruption.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his partners in comedy production owned a network of offshore companies related to their business based in the British Virgin Islands, Cyprus, and Belize.
Zelensky’s current chief aide, Serhiy Shefir, as well as the head of the country’s Security Service, were part of the offshore network.
Offshore companies were used by Shefir and another business partner to buy pricey London real estate.
Around the time of his 2019 election, Zelensky handed his shares in a key offshore company over to Shefir, but the two appear to have made an arrangement for Zelensky’s family to continue receiving money from the offshore.
On one hand - show business is yucky and I wish all that money didn’t just disappear into tax heavens. On the other hand - artists deserve their royalties, even if they’re in government positions. I guess I don’t agree with the means, but agree (to a tiny extent) with the ends.
Btw the security service changed heads since then, idk how much better the new one is, but he’s infinitely funnier.

Sure. But this is more about Zelenskyy, and his friends’s level of corruption. I mean, shell companies, or in this case, offshore companies is literally the standard issue method of money laundering or tax evasion. There is a reason why reporters investigating the Panama Papers have been murdered.
I mean, after all, if you are not aware, he literally ran on a platform to go after oligarchs, while he himself was funded by Ukraine’s largest oligarch. I mean, I would agree that is funny. Although I am, not sure if a lot of people in the USA knew that.
I know what you meant, just saying that part of his income from this is an indirect result of his shows. That’s why I wished it didn’t go there - it works like royalties, but isn’t, it’s a dishonest income stream because of (lack of) taxation and how it’s reported and shit. (edit: that’s ON TOP of his actual royalties, I’m sure he negotiated those too). Not to mention other members of this scheme.
I would be surprised if people in the States even knew the name of his bloc, or any other bloc for that matter. And why would they, it’s not really their forte.
