The Commodore 16 was such a strange machine. And it wasn’t backward compatible with existing software, and if Commodore wanted to budget machine, all they had to do is keep shipping the VIC 20. Or concentrate on the Plus 4 (also a strange machine but at least it had a purpose with it’s built in software).
