This community has been a little dead for a long time so let’s see if we can pump some life into it. I’ve been thinking I’ll be running a weekly(or monthly depending on activity and interest) discussion thread meant for general conversation.

This thread can be used as a place to post any discussion related to the sissy lifestyle that maybe you don’t want to create your own post for. This can include:

  • Asking questions or seeking advice.
  • Voicing problems or concerns.
  • Bragging about accomplishments or milestones.
  • Introducing yourself.
  • Or just general friendly conversation or anything else you can think of!

Comments must remain at least somewhat on topic for the community and troll comments will be removed.

Depending on the response I get maybe I’ll include focused discussion questions in future threads to try and drive conversation, but for now let’s start simple.

    In public I dress masculine and along gender lines except for the long hair and shaved legs I suppose. I do openly wear feminine accessories though - nail polish, colorful hair scrunchies or clips, jewelry, etc. It’s not unusual to see me taking the trash out or getting the mail in my more feminine house clothes though.

    Although I’m openly gender non-conforming/non-binary, sissy in general means being closeted with your feminine presentation for most people.

      Thanks for the clarification. I help moderate !femboys@lemmynsfw.com (mainly so the community does not get shut down), and tbh I still don’t always always understand the nuances and differences between various terms like sissy, femboy, trap, etc. - I’m still learning…

        Sure thing! Sissy is a very specific lifestyle/kink. It’s open for interpretation, but in the most general sense it mostly means just being feminine presenting in the bedroom and behind closed doors similar to the way people think of crossdressers, but with a lot more emphasis on submission and bimbo aesthetics.

        Femboy can be interpreted as just a feminine boy, but more often than not it’s dressing in a very specific aesthetic. Personally I think of it as the male equivalent of an eGirl.
