So I’m able to share my wayland screen from both firefox and ungoogled-chromium using pipewire+xdg-desktop-portal-wlr. However my stream has no audio.

I’ve found several posts on the internet of 3-4 years ago (e.g. https://old.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/lfxbik/tutorial_how_to_share_audio_on_discord_or_any/ ) where people just had an extra audio input in pipewire when sharing screen to which they could route their game audio. But for me there’s only my microphone input and chromium says “To share audio, share the tab instead” when screen sharing.

Has anyone been able to get audio working?

upd: Vesktop is what worked for me

It does indeed work now. I have CachyOS (Arch) running pipewire + Wayland. Discord finally streams video and audio. I don’t have anything fancy setup with pipewire.

Ok tried the app and it seems to be working! Haven’t tried with a real person but it looks right in qpwgraph

I went with Vesktop in the end, thanks for the suggestion! I tested official client some more but sometimes the audio input disappeared when I routed my game to it and never reappeared until I restarted the client. With Vesktop this doesn’t happen. Also you can select audio sources in GUI that’s nice.
