America has many high quality brands, but so often once they beat out competitors they dump the quality and ramp up the prices. I’ve lost a lot of trust in American goods, and it’s not the workers faults.

Oh, they’ll still be just as cheap. You’re just going to pay more for them.
As a Canadian the rampant enshittification of American products is one of the reasons I avoid them now (pre tariffs).
