pretty much as the title states. i’m gonna try and work as much as i can doing gig work sort of stuff today and tomorrow to try and avoid a late fee but anything would help. i start some college courses on monday so i won’t have a ton of time after; i’m a little stressed about it. idk i’m honestly just kind of sad bc i feel like i’m gonna get dumped over being short on rent. which like, valid i get it. it’s just a tough economy and paying for school and everything else is tough. idk. just really sad :(
i’m open to any recommendations on what to do for money quickly that isn’t a scam.
if anyone needs any sort of IT or development services i am available to work. i have a compsci degree and can provide a resume upon request if credentials are important.

EDIT: i have been real busy trying to scrape together cash the past few days but someone who is literally my personal hero helped me out here. i meant to come back and edit this post yesterday but didn’t end up getting to it this morning. thank you guys so much for the help. this community is awesome and i think you guys are some of the most effectual activists i have ever met in my life. you guys have good heads on your shoulders and i’m certain some of you will change the world one day! we can only dream of a society where this forum is made obsolete…

i know that’s the rational take but it’s still hard not to feel real down about it all.
i didn’t even really do compsci for the money or anything, it’s not like i expected to make bank or anything but the current job market certainly wasn’t what i anticipated when i was starting out. i honestly just took this major because my dad did it when i was a kid and i genuinely think it’s really cool. just lots of layers to the grief ig.
I feel you. My little brother also wants to go into compsci due to personal interest and I worry about his future prospects competing against the large number of compsci graduates. It’s a travesty what the market has turned into.
