If I had a nickel for every time Pirelli predicts the fastest strategy will be a two-stop and it ends up being a one-stop snoozefest instead with everyone just massaging their tyres for two hours I’d be a fucking gazillionaire by now.

Still, it could have been worse. We got some first lap action, some nice moves by Bearman and Piastri taking a crucial victory to keep the championship interesting.

Absolutely gutted for Yuki again. With the front wing deciding to implode on its own it wouldn’t have mattered anyway, but the decision to pit him a second time was completely braindead - or as they call it in VCARB: “the usual”. He was at the front of that midfield pack with great pace and was on for some solid points.

Not a great race by my boy Antonelli, but he apparently had floor damage (?) so I’ll give him a pass for now. He got completely mugged by both Ocon and Hulk and had no real pace to speak of. Maybe he really is just better in the wet than in the dry.

Really wish they would continue showing the race after the winner crosses the win. Yeah it’s nice seeing the team celebrate, but there was still stuff going on. I wanted to see how close Russell was at the hairpin and how Hadjar was doing against Doohan.

Was an OK race but if the hards were just a little less durable to make 2 stopping a little more viable it would’ve really helped the excitement factor.

Would like to hear more about tsunoda’s wing failure as I don’t think we’ve seen a front wing just give like that all on it’s own in a while.

Me too, not only navigating the overtakes well but tyre management to last to the chequered flag. Top rookie and DotD for sure

Bearman was absolutely robbed. I could see an argument for Ocon too as he had great pace, but surely it had to have been one of the Haas drivers, and I say that as an Antonelli fan.

The race was fine. But looks like all the crazy shit happened after it.

Williams in front of Ferrari in WCC!

Without bad luck Tsunoda will have no luck at all.

I thought the Red Bull was supposed to destroy its tires, yet Max finished ahead of both Ferraris. Well probably that front wing damage didn’t help Leclerc to preserve his front left tire.

Max just seemed to sit back for most of the race, right in that 4-5 second window where the dirty air of the car in front probably didn’t hurt much. Charles on the other hand tried to overtake George for quite a few laps and also stuck close to Lewis before that which probably destroyed his tires more, giving Max a favorable tire delta towards the end of the race.

Plus some setup changes between the sprint and qualifying and the hard tire seemingly working better in general on most cars.

Unlucky for Tsunoda. Will be interesting to see if he manages to get that second Red Bull seat.

Man what an exciting start for both RB racers. Had they not done a two stop. I hope this is Yuki’s year! And Hadgar who is easily my favorite rookie so far!

With how RB is designed just for Max, seen with how Perez and Liam struggled, I’d rather he stay at Racing Bull to get a decent finish rather than fight against the car

Enjoyed the race, seems like there was a good amount of action with the rookies in particular. Bit disappointed with the Ferrari pace today after the sprint race. Very happy for Piastri, well earned win. Hope to see him compete closely with Norris as the season continues.

I was also expecting more from Ferrari this race after the sprint. It baffles me how they did so well in the sprint and (ignoring the double DQ) didn’t do great in the race.

For that to happen, Liam has to be in front in the first place. 😅

        (man, I’m being mean😂)

Ocon best of the rest, first point for Sainz, Alpine the only team without points this season, Williams in front of Ferrari in WCC and Stroll in front of Hamilton and Leclerc in WDC.
