I am quite confident that this is Yuzukosho. A condiment made of yuzu and green pepper. Citrusy, spicy and salty.
Got to know it a few years ago in Japan in a place for fried chicken wings.
You use it to put it in soups, any dishes actually or to dip your wings or other finger food.
Looks natto-ish? It’s the wrong consistency for wasabi.
