I went back to Red Dead Redemption 2 today and started chapter 4. It’s hard to believe i’m already almost half way there, the game feels far shorter than i remember. I’ve been going out and doing stranger missions too to help get my honor up and because they can be fun.
The above screenshot was taken right after rescuing Jack from Angelo Bronte. The whole camp gathers to celebrate Jack’s return. I spent a while just chilling out at camp and celebrating too. Hosea told a story about the time he was nearly hung. Rockstar honestly did such a good job making the game feel alive in this way. It was nice to just chill out and relax. Almost makes me wish the online section let you fill out your camp with NPCs too.
At one point in the mission it has you go by a grave yard to stop grave robbers. This section was a lot of fun, the ambience reminded me a lot of The Walking Dead VR game if anyone has played that. It has a section where you’re sneaking through a graveyard too.
i also got a chance to explore the streets of San Denis. This city is one of my favorites in video games. It’s big enough you can get lost and has a lot of character. Sometimes i just like to get on and ride the trolley at night. The street lights make it a gorgeous view, similar to the above screenshot.
I also bumped into this Women’s voting rights stand on the Streets. When i was younger, i feel like i remember Arthur being a bit more of a jerk when i selected the Greet option. He said something along the lines of “Voting is for fools” or something like that. However this time, he seemed a lot more supportive. I almost wonder if i accidentally clicked the Antagonize button when i was younger or if it’s a Honor thing.
