site for watching Japanese tv programs.

it aggregates streams offered by separate tv stations. some episodes are simulcast online with the tv broadcast. most are recorded.

the site is ad supported, i think. haven’t watched without ad blocker. but being Japan, it is behind in technology so they have no ad block circumvention or anti-adblock features so far.

be aware: may need vpn to appear as Japan user.

SITE IS ALL IN JAPANESE

it’s not any kind of iptv piracy or uploads of torrented dvr rips, etc.

i personally have no particular preference for legal streaming over other types but this happens to be completely legal.

celebrity guests and TV network presenters even mention TVer by name in the actual episodes, when they promote how to find more content.

some of the videos are embedded frames linked to the original tv networks own websites. like in USA and other countries, the tv networks’ official sites have streaming episodes for free that become available after a certain delay post-broadcast. TVer just gathers them on 1 site.

unfortunately US doesn’t have anything civilized and logical like that for tv (or most things. I’m USAmerican btw)

Cool. I’m not too worried about the legality or whatever either, was just thinking about how likely it is to stick around. Nice resource, thanks for sharing!
