i switched to Linux Mint as well. I really don’t want to use any big tech garbage anymore. They will lure you in with a cheap offer and then when everyone is aboard it’s time to raise prices and start the enshittification.
Thunderbird is also a very good alternative to Outlook.
I steered away from cloud services as long as possible and it seems i’ve made the right choice by keeping it local to my NAS.
It’s perfectly good office software. I really don’t need or want AI services.
Great news !
Been using Libre for a little bit, like it so far!
- FreeOffice.
- LibreOffice.
- Yozo Office.
- OnlyOffice.
- WPS Office.
There you go all kind off Free (and some open source) office app
Careful there. WPS Office is Chinese and OnlyOffice fucking russian.
OnlyOffice is Estonian
OnlyOffice is Russian and “headquartered” in Latvia.
WTF. Uninstalling Immediately.
And they have a Russian version that they named after the first nuclear ICBM…
No no, Latvian, but that is just a ruse. Development happens in russia.
Last time I tried FreeOffice it had an important feature missing on Linux (and maybe Mac ?idk): you can’t write formulas and equations
