I love the chemistry between Atou and Takuto!
One thing I can’t get over is that there’s subtle elements to the animation and art style that tells me that this anime is only going to get 1 season to serve as an ad for the ln/manga.
I read the manga and love it, but it really doesn’t feel like the studio has their heart in it. Not that the studio is doing a bad job, it’s adequate, but it’s not trying to be better than the source material
Maybe that will change depending on if it sells or rates well?

the opening makes me think they’re thinking ahead? sort of like how overlord had scenes from future seasons in it, because I find it hard to believe they’ll get that far in this 1 season at this pace

Seems like they have a good setup, with a terrain that buffs them and debuffs enemies and a hero that gets stronger over time, as long as they aren’t zerged rushed it seems like a pretty strong civ
The only thing this made me realize is that in the OP, I had assumed the fire tower was something the lady in red was doing, this made it clear that it was the saint doing it to her instead. Now I might have read the LN but I feel like I imagine things differently so it’s interesting to see how things are animated to see how I got it wrong
