Don’t tease us with beautiful cards we don’t have in TCG pocket ;)
Oh, I thought the game had all the cards! Are they planning to add them over time?
@FrostyTrichs@crazypeople.online, is this type of posts still allowed? Not sure I want to create a dedicated community just for the physical TCG 😅
There’s PTCG Live, which is basically the digital implementation of the physical game with the exact same cards and rules. The real-life booster packs usually come with a QR code to scan in Live that gives you a digital pack to open.
Pocket is like a casual version of the real TCG, with simplified battle rules for quicker games, and there’s more of a focus on collecting than just battling. Because of the different rules, you can’t just reuse the real TCG cards in Pocket, so the cards are unique to Pocket, but there’s sometimes reuse of the artwork.
Thank you!
Great explanation thank you.
The crossover is fine with me but I think the bulk of the content here should be related to the mobile game. The two games are intrinsically linked though so it doesn’t make sense to ignore the TCG imo. There may be a little bit of confusion for new people but I’m sure we can handle it.
Also, has anyone looked at the TCG lately? It’s been on a bull run (or so I gather) for months. Whether the TCG is driving people to Pocket or the other way around there’s enough overlap to assume people here would be interested in both. It also gives us something to look forward to if the artworks being posted haven’t made it in game yet.
If the rest of the community feels some other way don’t be afraid to speak up! Let us know what you’re happy to see and what you’d rather not see in a community like this.
Sounds good, I’ll mostly keep it to once card per day, so that shouldn’t drown the Pocket content.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the TCG, seems like at the moment it kind of sucks due to scalper. A lot of people are recommending to wait a bit so that cards can be reprinted.
It’s a mix of existing and new artwork for Pocket right?
I got curious the other day and looked up a couple of the cards on eBay. Some of them seem to be real cards and others seem to be fan made cards or something. Either I didn’t search hard enough for genuine cards or there’s a gap in the market that enthusiastic sellers have filled with counterfeit/custom cards.
