My solution would be to have onion/satire headlines tagged as such, with [satire] or similar. What’s wrong with that? What actual harm does it do to make it clear to the reader that what they are reading is a joke and not to be taken as a literal news story when this website is full of actual news?

I’ve heard it works well on the RP5 now- might be worth a look if Mario Kart interests you at all.
