Depending on where you are in Europe there are many small shops that still make House blends of shaving cream, or more likely, shaving soap. Shaving soap with a good brush is superior, you will never go back to shaving foam. It’s cheaper too.
For disposable blade straight razors the Turkish brand Sedef is good.
I use either my Sedef or an old Gillette I got for $3 at a flea market. I also have an old Merkur, but the action is not as tight, so it sees less use.
