He is Kosaku Maeda, and his nickname is MAEDAX, he was the voice actor for several minor parts in the show (including playing himself, credited as MAEDAX) and also worked on the manga.

The aesthetic is the Shinbo style though, it’s really like the origin of everything in Monogatari and Madoka. SZS is truly it’s peak. RIP to Fujoshi-chan though (and Yoshinoya-sensei) - the voice actress died a few years back.

Also, the OPs get progressively better and more unhinged. I don’t know if they kept the progression/unfinished from back when it was broadcast. For instance, RUMBA had several versions.

SHAFT had a tendency to do incomplete OPs back then – they’d finish the animation midway thru the broadcast of the show. It happened with a season of Hidamari Sketch too. But with Zetsubou Sensei, it was part of the experience. The style of the OPs is amazing, and eventually returned as the witches in Madoka.

Torture Princess is literally going to be variations on a theme. If you don’t like the same joke(s) to infinity, you’re going to tap out quickly.

Also, while Bakemonogatari is good, if you haven’t experienced other SHAFT works (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Hidamari Sketch) then consider those first. Just to appreciate where the Shinbo Style is coming from (though Bakemonogatari is the second best example after SZS).

Depends very much on who and what kind of job. When I delivered pizzas, a pint with the other drivers was a nice unwind - complain about work, talk sports, eat some snacks.

I’ve also enjoyed colleague drink nights with my fellow teachers, though it’s a bit more subdued, especially when the boss joins in.
