This is actually true, European standards for grading meat are dog shit, aside from age of the cattle, everything else is the opposite of what you want in your meat. While on the other hand I have to recognize, that american beef on average is very high quality. And while their top grade still wouldn’t cut it as the lowest grade in Japan, the mid grade is still much better than what I can get where I live in central mexico, Wich is very similar to European beef, at that point it’s not even worth it to eat beef, I haven’t bought since November.

That’s an interesting question, I don’t consider corn dogs, or tamales; sandwiches because the bread is not sturdy enough, but I guess lettuce leaf tacos are, so perhaps we should change that to a covering sturdy enough to grab and eat. But somehow without the bread it doesn’t feel right. On the other hand I also agree sushi is a sandwich, because rice is bread-like enough.
