A colleague of mine from Japan explained to me, that salmonella sit on the outside of the shell. When you crack the egg open, the salmonella can enter the egg white. By washing the eggs, you get rid of salmonella but make it more susceptible to other bacteria, which are usually less harmful.

Ich find es Scheisse, aber die offizielle Begründung ergibt für mich schon Sinn. Eine gewisse politische Neutralität sehe ich nicht unbedingt als was Schlechtes. Isn’t it just the Post-Processing that makes the difference? I’m not a huge fan of a device deciding on how to develop a photo, I prefer to have more control over that. I guess it has its merits for a quick snapshot to instantly share with someone but that’s not important to me.

Does anyone know of a good app to develop photos (similar to Adobe Lightroom but FOSS, like dark table on desktop)?

I filled in all the fields and it keeps telling me “Field required”. I’ll try it later when I’m at my desktop PC.

They pay the windfarms when too much power is generated for the grid to handle. The wind turbines are then throttled accordingly and the windfarm owners are reimbursed for the lost potential. At least that’s how it goes in Germany. It’s kind of an incentive to upgrade the power grid.

I’m inclined to agree with you. You’re not a troll at all. Nu-Trek just doesn’t capture the charm of the series. Some might say it’s an evolution, I say it’s slapping a modern action/drama template on the franchise. It’s low effort TV.

But, SNW is still very enjoyable. I can’t say that for Disco. I think it has to do with the fact that SNW is not based on overarching, fast-paced action-drama.
