let me tell you, i currently work at one of the companies that caused the crash and we don’t abide by those rules anyway. during my training they were like “okay, the analytics side and the [other] side aren’t allowed to talk business with each other, because of seperation laws put in place after 2008. obviously everyone does it, but don’t do it over official channels ;)”. there was also a LOT of training on what we could legally accept from/give to potential clients without it technically counting as bribery.

i TRIED to make laezel worse and then she fucking left me to save herself for jesus vlakith 😭 so i had to go romanace minthara instead. which works out because i actually fell in love with minthara lol. but still

The people who are using it to do their essays probably wouldn’t have written particularly scintillating essays

tbf, i would imagine that most students weren’t writing particularly scintillating essays anyway even before AI—almost all of my papers were started the night before they were due, and i only started my fucking masters thesis the week before it was due lmao, and i know a fair chunk of my year was similar (although maybe not to quite the same degree). i still scored well, because it was never about being considered or clever or what have you, it was about being able to sound like you understand the fundemental science and hitting the rubric. none of the essays were actually pleasant or insightful to read.

hell it even applies before university; i went to a hardcore nerd school and they didn’t teach us any of the material particularly hard, they went over that once, but then all the study sessions and exam prep and drills were about teaching us the mark scheme. thats what matters and an AI can probably do the same thing pretty easily if you set up properly.

I have a very similar experience with the end(ish) of RD1 when you’ve just been promised your freedom and you’re racing back to the family you’ve only ever heard about all game, set to compass. red dead is the only video game where i have songs from it on my phones still to this day, and the only game that i think makes acceptable use of soundtrack songs with lyrics

IT FUCKING PISSES ME OFF

tik tok songs are generally fine, i don’t care, i never interact with them. UNTIL i go home for a few days, and during the time i’m there, nonstop, from the hours of 7am-10pm fucking tiktok is played at max volume. my mother is on that shit genuinely all day. she does nothing but work in the mornings and then watch tiktok WHILE the tv is on for the entire rest of the day. my family’s home is 3 rooms total, i can’t get away from it. my work gave me a noise cancelling headset for customer calls and that is the only way i can survive going home without losing my mind. tiktok die challenge. i also overhear my roommate’s tiktok sometimes but that is nothing but sonic and pokémon, so it isn’t anywhere near as smotheringly repetitive—i guess those awful songs are only apply to one particular faction of tiktok? idk

the anxiety song just so happened to be big when i visited home recently. i’m sure it’s fine, really. but fucking christ.
