I know from all the doom posting I see on Lemmy that many don’t, but I still have hope.
I’m here for entertainment and to engage with opinions, views and perspectives different than my own to grow myself. I don’t care if you downvote but if you don’t engage me I can’t learn from it so I may block you as I’ll take it that you don’t want to see my content.

I’m not going to argue with you. I asked politely because the aggressive negativity is exhausting and there’s already a place for it. If my request bothers you that much then downvote and move on and at least I’ll know who to block to keep it out of my feed that way.
I didn’t think about what matters to SCOTUS at all.
The law still matters to people and that’s what’s important. Only after we, abandon the rule of law will there be a complete breakdown of society and a descent into chaos and anarchy.

Where do they live? Kessel?
Or the shit that happened after Covid lockdowns were lifted.
I support your overall point but can you please keep the pejorative insults in the fuckcars community?
It’s actually hilarious the level of stupidity that carbrains have.
I’m glad he took the time to help the little creature and I don’t think it was malicious but this part really bugs me:
the postal carrier
A FedEx driver is not a postal carrier yet. The USPS is under attack from inside and out by private interests.
Yeah, I was referring more to the behavior in court since I didn’t know anything about the actual events leading to the charges.
The behavior described in the article strongly reminded me of some relatives who had bi-polar disorder.
The US Supreme Court can’t currently do what you say without a law change at the federal level.
Also, the 13th Amendment which abolished slavery (mostly) was passed by Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865 after the end of the US Civil War.
I read the article and the whole thing screams mental illness to me.
Not in the UK so this is the first time hearing about this but was there ever an assessment to that extent? Or are these two just that cold and calculating that it was all an act?
I think Americano was created by American GIs in Italy during WWI. They diluted espresso with hot water to make it more like traditional American coffee at the time.
There’s also evidence of the term Cafe Americano in Central American Spanish.
Australia and New Zealand also have the long black which is like an Americano but you add the espresso over the water to maintain the crema and get a stronger flavor.
Have you tried flying a drone into any kind of protected airspace, like these places? I can engage in whataboutism too.
If you really believe it’s that hard to get into a sports stadium or other high profile event you might want to read up on Dion Rich.
Or maybe think back to the recent past about Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Maybe consider how loud and conspicuous drones actually are.
Or maybe read the US Army’s land warfare paper about drone attacks.
There might, maybe even likely will, come a day when drones can be used effectively in the manner proposed but it’s not today.
Their probably hoping to avoid the WARN Act requirements.
I’ve been sober 8 years now but my brother got me a bottle of the Yamazaki 12 year back when it first came to the US, when it was about ~$40 a bottle and I was still drinking. I was always a big bourbon drinker but that was some of the best whiskey I ever had and I still remember the Yamazaki specifically.
Woah, woah, woah! The US believes in innocent until proven guilty. The alleged child rapist should get the benefit of the doubt. After all, does that sound like the behavior of a 34 time felon, confirmed adult rapist, insurrectionist, twice impeached, traitor like Donald J. Trump?
/s, I really hope this is obvious though
It’s not bourbon but I’d recommend a nice Yamazaki Single Malt.
This but also state and local government needs to start requiring an impact mitigation plan before approving the building of these data centers. The same way they might require an environmental impact study they need to understand the impact a data center will have on the electrical grid and require them to offset it.
