I don’t know how common it is, so I’m not sure how normal it is. I think a lot of people live with parents who don’t seem to understand how their words affect their children. I think once you pass the physical strength/endurance exam to become a cop, you don’t have to take any to remain one. I definitely think that should change, though. Make them pass once a year to retain their job.
