For anyone considering college in the next few years, you should really consider college as a career prep rather than a place to simply learn more. Unless you’ve got the money and support network to just dilly dally for 4+ years, you should be going in knowing 100% what you want to be doing with your life and make sure that courses you’re taking the the connections you make are getting you there.

From a philosophical reasoning perspective, it needs some work. Your first clause states an opinion that is a fact, “I remember…”, but the second takes the material of your opinion as universal truth to comment on a objective quality: that it is now certainly comparatively worse because you remembered it being better.

Phrasing could be amended to

It used to be fun, but they keep changing for worse.

(Both clauses appeal to universal truths, both need defending)

Or

I remember it used to be fun, but now I think they keep changing it for worse.

(Both clauses frame the statements as being only your opinion).

Space looks claustrophobic and the sofa is definitely way too big. A 2 seat settee (check out Herman Miller chiclet - dirt cheap used with a lot of personality and you can find them all day) and maybe a fun armchair and a stool would work much better.
