kbin has been discontinued but there is a fork called mbin, piefed and loops are missing and some very small projects, also bridgyfed isn’t there but it’s still a pretty good overview
Yes, and there are already lots of different ones that, at least partially, work together:
Don’t know if there is something LinkedIn like though
AFAIK Heroic is more or less officially supported by GOG, they even have a affiliate deal when you buy games from within the launcher
I think there is literally a story in the bible where someone puts a golden goat in his garden or wherever and then gets punished by god
Edit: It was a golden calf
AFAIK they bought their only real competition (funimation). Regarding recommendations: I personally find piracy streaming sites have the best recommendations, I mostly use them just for recommendations and don’t even watch there, also you could take a look at !anime@ani.social, specifically the recommendation threads

Funnily enough, in my experience Humble Bundle and Fanatical are the best reputable options for DRM free ebooks/audiobooks/comics and that is actually pretty sad thinking about it. Now I’m just looking for a DRM movie store with a decent selection
I feel you though
I’m quite fond of Fanatical. They are based in the UK and also sometimes sell DRM free books/audiobooks
