went to theater and they played a trailer for a dark comedy movie that look really interesting…except they literally spoiled every beat in the movie. normally im like eh i dont think trailers spoil movies that much, but this one was actually spoiling everything. why are you showing this??? is there no trust in the audience? lol
write lots of really short things, like < 5 pages or something. i think the short length helps you focus and nail down story structure + flow, plus finishing stuff feels good. you can always iterate and add on to something later when its done, or redo the entire thing but make it longer later
