Moderating across instances hasn’t worked well but will be fixed in next release.
I’m expecting more of that to come later along with more from other provinces.
I may have gone too far
Edit:
No, just slow and steady
because I’m nice to people every day and all I do is get treated like fucking garbage and this is my only outlet
There’s a difference between being nice and letting people walk all over you.
Where necessary or convenient, sure. But alcohol for example has so many other options that I see no reason to give them business ever again. Maybe in a few decades.
Add that to the eligible voters who abstained and you have a sizable proportion of the adult population.
If you’re willing I have found that regularly contributing to a community, even if it’s just you, will lead to others participating sooner than you may expect.
That advice about broader topics is also good however. Niche communities aren’t generally necessary until the broader ones become too flooded.
Edit: unless focused on a hyper-niche, with tight focus, such as !obscureinstruments@sh.itjust.works or !soundfontcovers@sh.itjust.works
(Disclosure: I created both examples.
You’re welcome. Any questions about Lemmy or fedi in general?

Damn, they really should have thought of that, huh
I think the damage is done. I hope to never see American liquor in stores ever again.
Maybe try it out, but don’t go thinking it’s a miracle drug that’ll heal you without you also doing some work.
I have enough drug experience, both prescribed and recreational, that I know better than to think that. But at the same time I understand that subtle things can add up.
This should really be my email signature.
You didn’t get the Salon article?
So that’s why they hate him
I’m intrigued, but mainly for depression. But unless I get much worse I think I should probably stick to the drugs I already know.
