In case you didn’t know, you can send a YouTube URL to Kodi by sharing it from your phone to the Kore app.

So you can do your browsing on your phone/tablet and when you want to watch something on the big screen, you just share it with the Kore app and it will start playing.

I have an Alienware AW3423DWF and use it with Fedora KDE.

No problems here. Some games don’t support ultrawide without mods but I haven’t encountered any of these mods that don’t work on Linux yet.

As for HDR, it should be ready for primetime once Proton 10 comes out with Wayland support. As of right now, you have to either run your game through gamescope or use Wine/Proton with Wayland support enabled, e.g. Proton-Tkg (Wine master).

It’s a really good monitor by the way, still impresses me with its pure black on a regular basis, even in SDR.

It’s a credit or debit card where you can change the number at any time. Prevents shady online shops from loosing your credit card details. Revolut and N26 offer it for example.

Of course, the shop still has to accept credit/debit cards or you have to go though PayPal as guest.

I have the choice to either tell PayPal and my bank what I’m buying or just my bank. I chose the latter.

I once got banned for “vote brigading” on Reddit because I upvoted a crosspost that was deleted later, so this comes as no surprise. They have been monitoring upvotes and downvotes since forever.

I recently deleted my PayPal account and use a virtual credit card instead.

So far no issues with paying. In the rare case that credit card is not available you can always pay without account in PayPal via credit card.
