We’ve been hearing about how “Oh if Israel does X it’s going to push Arabs across the red line.” I’ve said it a myself in the past, or at least hoped for it, and it just hasn’t materialized, despite it being pretty much universally acknowledged among anyone with eyes that Israel is doing a genocide. Pan-Arabism has been dead for 40+ years, and the concept of an Ummah, at least among non-Palestinian Sunnis, seems pretty effectively dead and buried now, as well.
All of the Arab/Muslim countries to continue to actively do business either directly with Israel or with the Western countries who are directly complicit. Turkey is Israel’s gas station and Erdogan and the AKP have been and continue to be enriched through that relationship. MBS talks out of both sides of his mouth and is almost certainly still entertaining signing the Abraham Accords in private. The Qataris just gifted the guy arming the genocide a $400M plane and pressured Hamas to give up their final leverage of American in return for absolutely nothing. People here keep saying out “Oh this is going to piss of the Egyptians” like what the fuck have the Egyptians done up to this point? If they can stomach what is happening right now without rising up, why is removing Palestinians from Gaza going to be different?

Maybe not to the extent that the West is, but Israel imports electronics and steel used to make weapons from China, and China is well aware of how these are being used.

The threat of the man is something real and present that most women have actually faced. They know what men are capable of, have experienced it, and may experience it again. The bear is an unknown. It’s not present in their lives, and they have never experienced it. Yes, maybe they could get mauled to death and eaten by the bear, but maybe they can run away. Maybe the bear runs away. Maybe the bear isn’t interested in them. All sorts of possibilities float around in their head because they are not now and have not previously had to experience the violence of the bear.
Gazans are experiencing the bombing and the death right now. They experience it every day. What will happen to them in Libya? Maybe they will face the same sort of violence there, although that’s unlikely given they are under the sort of bombing campaign that hasn’t been seen in decades. But maybe they won’t. Maybe there life will be better than living in literal fucking hell on earth. And if you don’t think that a lot of Gazans won’t take that chance to be free from hell on earth, even if it means leaving everything they have ever know and maybe even the people they love, then you are fundamentally disconnected from the human experience, because that is a choice millions of war refugees have made since time immemorial.

How many Palestinians do you think are going to look at what’s left of their loved ones and are going to chose to stay instead of fleeing to somewhere where they might be safe from bombs given the chance? How many Syrians and Iraqis made that same decision over the past two decades? You better start giving a fuck about what Trump thinks, because there is more working in favor of this plan now than there has been in 50 years.

Per DropSite News, a one way trip to America’s premier slave market:
BREAKING: The Trump administration is working on a plan to permanently relocate up to 1 million Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Libya, according to a report by NBC News, citing five sources with knowledge of the effort, including two people they said with direct knowledge, and a former U.S. official.
Key Details:
➤ The plan is being seriously considered and has been discussed with Libyan leadership. In exchange, the U.S. would potentially unfreeze billions of dollars in Libyan assets.
➤ Israel is aware of the discussions. Senior Hamas official, Dr. Basem Naim, said that Hamas was not aware of any discussions. No final agreement has been reached, NBC reports and the State Department and National Security Council declined comment.
➤ Libya, still divided between rival governments, is struggling with war and instability. The U.S. currently warns against travel due to “crime, terrorism, kidnapping, and armed conflict.”
➤ Plans include possible financial incentives like free housing or stipends to encourage voluntary departure—but it’s unclear how many Palestinians would agree.
➤ Transport options being considered include airlifts, sea routes, and land convoys, all of which pose major logistical hurdles. Gaza lacks an airport, and Israel may not permit overland travel to Egypt.
➤ The U.S. has also reportedly considered Syria under its new post-Assad leadership as a potential resettlement site.
➤ Trump previously said Palestinians would need to be relocated so the U.S. could “take over” and rebuild Gaza as a “Riviera of the Middle East.” He added: “I don’t think people should be going back to Gaza.”
➤ The proposal for ethnically cleansing Gaza has faced intense pushback from Arab allies and members of Congress.

It’s seemed pretty clear to me from the start that this was the Qataris trying to put pressure on Hamas to release him so that they could score their own personal points with Trump at the expense of Gaza, because Israel already had the greenlight from Trump to ramp things up and they wanted to get the American out as win. Now this guy can’t killed by Israeli bombing and Trump doesn’t have to give a shit.

Yes, I bring them up because the claim is that “Oh the people are going to rise up” but their leaders are already letting genocide happen and there are no uprisings. There’s no military coups. The discussion isn’t about smuggling routes (that smugglers are paid handsomely for), it’s about this idea that the masses are going to finally say enough is enough. If they can stomach what is going on now, why is the resettlement of Gazans going to be the red line? They have learned to stomach the same activity in the West Bank, why would this be different?
I’m not trying to personally antagonize or attack you, so apologies, please don’t take this personally. I have said the same thing you are saying over the past 2 years. I am just having trouble believing it’s going to happen anymore, but I would love to be wrong.
