Americans are watching this too and wondering what the fuck is wrong with our fellow Americans. This should not even be close.

Occasionally I block users that are extremely bad for one reason or another. Honestly though, I have to block far more communities than users, and it’s mostly because of foreign languages. I have nothing against these communities, but if I can’t read any of their posts, they’re just noise. I’ve tried tinkering around with language settings, but for whatever reason I still seem to see at least one new one a week, and so I block it to clean up my feed. It just seems like something that should be easy, I’m a dumb American who only wants to see English communities, how hard is it to filter by language, or is this just a problem with my mobile client (Voyager)?

The expectation is so much higher for parents now than it ever was on my parent’s generation. My parents were there, I felt loved, and they kept us alive, but they weren’t as involved in my life as I feel I have to be with my kids now. We were out playing most of the day and only saw each other in the mornings and at night alot of the time. My parents were doing whatever in the intervening hours. Getting left home alone was a common occurrence (for a few hours at a time).

Parents now though are being held to a higher standard and are even getting in trouble for things like leaving their kids unattended. That coupled with less resources and support available (time/money) and a more insidious business culture that’s trying to squeeze money from parents through their kids at every opportunity, makes it a fucking clusterfuck for parents in this day & age.

Gee, I wonder why the birthrate is going down?

They almost seem like just a “living” reproductive system, as if that’s the entirety of their existence. Like real-life Daleks going “IN-SEM-IN-ATE!”

I woke up once in the middle of having sex with my then-girlfriend. After we finished I was like, “You could’ve woken me up at least before we started.” She was like, “What are you talking about? You started all that!” So I guess it’s a real thing, my body just wants to bang at all hours.

Pretty sure they’re called “The Dixie Chicks” and not just “The Chicks”, though maybe that’s a fan name or something. Should still give the full name for those who maybe never heard of them.
