Some people have bad vision. Some people have a hard time seeing things like weird perspectives. There’s all kinds of reasons why someone wouldn’t be able to tell what is happening in the picture. There’s no need to call people dumb.

“I don’t think we should bomb children”, “I think medial-debt shouldn’t be the largest cause of bankruptcy in our country”, “People should be able to oppose genocide”, “cops shouldn’t be able to assault innocent people without consequence”
“expect perfect”
I think your definition of “perfect” might be a little off, as I think those are all fairly reasonable to ask of a candidate.
Yes, Harris would have been better than Trump, but that is a pretty low bar. She spent her time trying to get as close to that bar as she thought she could get away with.

Yes, you are correct

I found this which lists 2 of them: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/2-seattle-cops-who-were-at-u-s-capitol-in-january-are-fired
But I could have sworn that the rest were already known. Post em if you got em! Never let them hide
lol, I used to do this to my cats all the time when they yawned.
Angry looks followed. Totally worth it.

Apparently Elon and Trump had a big online fight today. I didn’t follow it, so that’s all the context that I have.

I think your comment helped me: To me it looks like the Wizard is the one selling the potions, and the shop owner is the buyer. I can’t tell you why it looks that way to me, just that it does.
I actually love email. While yes, this post is accurate, email is the most filterable communication system that I have. Since I have my own email-server, and I know how procmail rules work, I can tightly control who is allowed to contact me, and what folders their messages go into. It also has great crowd-sourcing of known spammers, that I can pull from to help me filter out spammy IP addresses.
Every other message system only has a “report spam” button, that is dependent on the service admins, and doesn’t actually stop people from sending me annoying junk-mail.
Because I want them to stop bombing children? Yeah, I know. They’d rather keep doing that, than try to appeal to me as a voter.
You would be surprised how many people “don’t know why they feel bad”, and “don’t know how that got in there”. People will go through a lot to avoid admitting that they like things in the poop-chute
“Please stop bombing children”, “How about we don’t back a genocide”, “Maybe illness shouldn’t put you into bankruptcy”, “Police shouldn’t be able to assault and murder innocent people”
I feel like these are reasonable requests, and quite different than “short of perfect”
Maybe if the Democrats fought for those values, instead of against them, then they would gain leftist support.
If anyone tells you that your teenage years are the best years of your life: Smile, nod, and slowly back away. Then never talk to that person again if you can help it.
Does that trend take into consideration the incumbent being highly unpopular and in clear cognitive decline? Does it take into account polling showing that the incumbant was going to lose by a massive margin?
He bombed children, screwed over the poor and working class, and backed a genocide. He was an average president, which is to say: A terrible president.
No, I don’t. In fact, their wikipedia page shows activity up to 2022
As soon as you go back, and read what I’ve already written, I’ll continue this conversation
piefood@feddit.onlinetoUnited States | News & Politics@lemmy.ml•Will Democrats Learn From the Biden Disaster? Probably Not. | The Democratic Party’s propping up an obviously declining Joe Biden is one of the greatest political disasters in American history.English71·18 days agoI wish this was true. I live in a fairly blue area, and I see them IRL all the time. I’ve been called a “mindless Trump drone” for saying that the Democrats should stop running unpopular candidates and unpopular policies. I’ve been told I was a monster for thinking that the Democrats shouldn’t put up rapists as presidents, and that they shouldn’t bomb children.
While I do think the blue cult is amplified online, I think it is, unfortunately, very real as well.
I like supporting my creators. I don’t pirate music, because Bandcamp is a thing, and I don’t pirate video games because GoG is a thing. I also subscribe to Patreon and the like.
What I don’t like is giving my money to shitty companies that try to tell me how I am allowed to manage/retain/consume that media.
