Interesting. In Texas once you hit 65 they freeze your property taxes and no longer increase it. My parents are only paying $1,800/year on a $250K house. Meanwhile I’m paying $14,000/yr on a $500K house.
If they can get rockets to mars, what’s to prevent them from deploying GPS satellites around Mars? Then just have the spacecraft switch to receiving those signals instead as it get close enough

Am I just using Lemmy differently from these people? I want to find a community, I go to search, it pulls up all connected instances, I pick which one has the highest subscribe count regardless of what instance it’s on and use it like any other community. (Well, minus tankie instances). It’s really no trouble if it’s somewhere else and half the times I don’t even notice.
