Yep, there was a sense of people coming together in the first few weeks but it didn’t last long…

Redlib etc servers aren’t reliable, but it’ll ping the different ones and find which is working well.

slurp@programming.devto Global News@lemmy.zip•Benefits of ADHD medication outweigh health risks, study finds6·16 days agoThere’s the “right to choose” in England, which allows you to pick a private provider that the NHS will pay for. Wait lists are not short, and places often pause referrals, but wait times are months not years. You need your GP to do the referral and some don’t want to but they have to. Then there’s a bunch of problems with the shared care agreements not being accepted too.
It’s a lot to look into but it might get you there sooner. Ideologically I hate this as it is a waste of NHS money but for those that need the care in a timely manner it can be the only option. It is frustrating that there hasn’t been enough investment in the NHS.
slurp@programming.devto Buy European@feddit.uk•EU/non US guitar pedals: crosspost from guitar pedals3·2 months agoI forgot to address, I don’t have any good personal recommendations as I haven’t tried many companies but I know there are a number of decent German pedal companies and I’ve heard good things about JAM pedals (Greek) and Thorpy (UK). Poly Effects (Australian but not US) seem to be putting out interesting stuff too.
slurp@programming.devto Buy European@feddit.uk•EU/non US guitar pedals: crosspost from guitar pedals4·2 months agoAndy Demos on YouTube has a few Origin Effects demos that are good. I’ll admit to having bought a Chinese knockoff of one of their pedals because I wasn’t willing to spend that much on a compressor and it’s good enough that I’ll definitely buy a real one if I ever start gigging again (it’s one of the stacked ones).
You may know this but in case you don’t the Morning Glory is a modified Blues Breaker pedal, so you should be able to widen your search for alternatives with that.
The pedal brands I don’t think have good European alternatives are Empress, Chase Bliss, and Hologram Electronics because the digital side is strongly copyright protected, which unfortunately means less ability for builders to build on each other’s work. That said, there are still cool non-US pedals out there in that kinda space.
