Yes, commodifying sex is bad because commodifying anything is bad. When porn ceases to be a commodity it will become less harmful, much like anything else.

I’m really not sure what point you’re making here, do you think there wouldn’t be porn sites that people would use as masturbation tools in a communist society? Why is “instant gratification” inherently a bad thing? When you open your fridge to have a snack you’re “instantly gratifying” because you’re not involving yourself in the entire process of making food.

Pretty sure people would make porn and share it in a communist society too. Not everybody considers sex as this sacred intimate act that needs to be hidden from the rest of the world, some people are just naturally extremely horny.

I agree with you like 90% but I don’t think you can say it’s not real at all just because they decided (for now) not to classify it as a mental disorder. There definitely exist people that have a very unhealthy relationship to pornography that it very negatively impacts their lives.

Why hasn’t the CPC in the current global situation move more strongly towards socialism and liberation of Global South countries? The idea of a Chinese “Marshall plan” that Xiaohongshu outlined seems like a reasonable step, do you have any information about that actual plans of the CPC?

What argument are you making exactly? There are a lot of members of the CPC therefore it is definitely communist and couldn’t be infiltrated by liberals? It’s not exactly unheard of in history that a communist party would be infiltrated by nationalists and/or liberals.

I would definitely not like that to happen to China but it’s not outside the realm of possibility. Also xiaohongshu seems way more knowledgeable about recent Chinese history than you, you moan about sources yet you haven’t posted any yourself.

Could China conceivably just move beyond the western funny money financial magic tricks and transition slowly into a planned economy, or at least a more closed off socialist market economy? They have the productive capacities in their control, if push comes to shove and there’s a total blockade of trade between China and the West wouldn’t they just win?

Why did China put lower tariffs than the US? Seems like an L, doesn’t seem like they needed to do this, what is China even buying from the US?
