  • The only gray markets I trust is CDKeys and even that is kindof shady. The thing is, we never know how exactly these people get keys to turn around and resell them. But it isn’t like they’re entrusted with keys like Fanatical, Humble Bundle, GreenManGaming are. These other places, like G2A, has to get them through illicit means which could be fraud and could lead to consequences if some sources take a closer look at what’s going on. Which in turn, could lead to compromise of keys or worse - permaban from Steam.

Regional pricing does also play a part, but it also still begs the question - how and where are they getting that much money to buy keys in bulk? Least enough to warrant staging a site where people can buy said keys from? It’s more questions than answers, but I would still favor piracy than chancing my luck at these sites.

  • There are a handful of legendary singers that haven’t written even their best material. Frank Sinatra (My Way), Johnny Cash (Hurt), Madonna (Material Girl) and even Elvis Presley (Hound Dog). But, being a vocalist is like having an organic guitar. You wail, scream, screech, growl in various tone and octaves. And it is matter of making the song work. Some of the songs done by those artists I’ve mentioned, you would be hard pressed to find anyone else to fill their shoes, because they are what made the songs.

  • Is it too much to ask for America to have someone who’s only quality is that they’re not Trump? How about credulous capability? How about a spine to tell corporations to shove it? How about an actual move to progress things that should’ve been apparent in the present X amount of years ago?

Simply just not being Trump is not enough. Because what you do not care to realize, is that sets a low bar. You’re saying, you’re okay with someone not Trump even though they may not be any better. Don’t mix my words around, idiot.

  • Nah, Democrats failed us again last year. Instead of focusing on what matters, they played the exact same play out of their playbook from 2016. Which was to attack Trump over and over. They didn’t promise much of anything, only that “well, we’re not Trump so vote for us!”. We did that in 2020 with Biden and the best Biden did was nudge things but he didn’t do that grand of a job. We voted for him because he wasn’t Trump. When it came time for a fresher candidate to make history again, what did Harris do? She caved and went the whole “AT LEAST WE’RE NOT TRUMP!” towards the end of her campaign and that didn’t do wonders.

And the fact that the Democrats allowed for Republicans, unchallenged, to take the Senate and House? Dude, no balls on them.

  • Reality check should’ve set in for you the first month he was in office. All of the things he’s been saying that he’ll do if he got elected again. He did more than a quarter of those things within the first week. We have 4 years with this asshole now and the only silver lining is the mid-terms, provided there will even be a mid-term election next year.

He has already done 32% of the things he’s promised to do and that’s just all within one month. Do you think he’s bluffing? When he said he was going to throw tariffs on countries he feels is at fault for the problems in america, he did so. When he said he was going to fire lots of people, he did. When he said he was going to pardon everyone possible for January 6th, he did. There’s still more to come, too.

    And you think he’s joking?

  • The primary reason I hated Thunderbird, was because it would always drop authentication whenever I tried sending e-mail from my Outlook address. Yeah I can see mail coming in for my Outlook e-mail, but I also wanted to send too and I always had to go over to Outlook and deal with the awful and confusing UI to send mail.

I had just tested BetterBird’s capability by sending an e-mail from my Outlook address to one of my GMails and no issues. So, fuck Thunderbird.

  • All that we’ve ever asked from Mozilla is three things:

    • Focus on the performance of your browser so that it is not a hog.

    • Upkeep privacy

    • Keep it secure

Out of all of those things, Mozilla fails at all except maybe the last thing. We didn’t ask for AI implementation. We didn’t ask for Firefox accounts. We didn’t ask for whatever feature flavor of the month that Mozilla got a hair up their ass about that they just had to throw into the browser. We asked for simple things and Mozilla overshot them. How are any of these features meant to uphold the values once held by Mozilla?

If you want to talk about a nothing-burger, think of all of the reasons that Mozilla had danced around to excuse itself by throwing these things in. And the cherry on top was the Terms of Service. Truly, they are tone-deaf.

  • The pros and cons between either is entirely up to preference.

    Apartment

    Pros:

    • Not having to worry too much about maintenance, as there are teams of maintenance people to call to have them handle problems.
    • If you live small and do not see the point of a home, apartments are for you.
    • Designated parking lots or areas
    • Some places can be affordable
    • Some cool things can be offered like pools, some community related things .etc
    • You may have some leniency for when you’re billed for rent/utilities

    The Depends:

    • Bad or Good landowners determine how well you’re going to live in an apartment. There’s really no strong pro or con because it can vary. You could live in an apartment atmosphere and the landowner doesn’t give two shits about you or anyone else except themselves. But you could also live in an apartment atmosphere where the landowner does care about everyone.

    • Bad or Good Tenants can also be a dealbreaker. Good tenants are the ones who leave you the hell alone and actually do not try breaking the lease agreements, they’re nice and can be approached without conflict. Bad tenants, everyone knows these types. Blasting music for all to hear, having barking/needy dogs that whine and whimper so you can hear them. Vandalizing the building or in general. Having maintenance tied up because they can’t stop being a problem. Having to have police called multiple times.

    • Lease agreements can vary, some may make you feel like you’re more restricted than usual, like I know my apartment management don’t really like the idea of holes in walls, including ones made by pushpins. They sometimes will do random check arounds of the apartment. It really depends on the agreement.

    Cons:

    • Finding affordable apartments
    • Finding apartments that have accessibility, like places to go, jobs to work at .etc
    • Not enough tenant protections
    • Sometimes you don’t really feel like you’re at home
    • Options like finding different ISPs may be limited

    House

    Pros

    • You are entitled to do with as you wish, no neighbors except neighborhoods, you have your own rules
    • Your property applies to above
    • You build equity
    • Family expansion is far safer

    Cons

    • Good luck finding an affordable home
    • You are subjected to higher rates/bills for utilities
    • You are paying for EVERYTHING that happens either on the property or with the home
