¹EDIT: But just for the record, I think there is cause to argue public interest and educational/journalistic use of this trumping copyright.
True, but there is one more degree of separation with yt-dlp or similar scripts. Here, it is literally part of the normal web interface, without any demands for external services or paid premium stuff.
