You know, what if this is all a long op to be unable to be convicted of a crime. Being so high-profile of a nazi and showing up to all court appearances in swastikas but also being black, means that they can’t find a jury. If you aren’t a white supremacist, you are biased against him because of the swastikas, if you are a white supremacist, you are racist against him. No jury can be formed.
Mostly I ignore Kanye because he’s been doing this for so long that I’m no longer shocked, but sometimes I remember that he made Graduation and 808s and Heartbreak and my brain just sort of stops working.
It’s wild how hard he fell off. The failure is the defining feature of his career, now. He is no longer “a musician who started to go off the rails.” He is now “guy who has been off the rails for quite a long time, and i guess he was a musician at some point, technically.”
