Well there are also a few who are way above the average dragging it back up again. We need to see a distribution curve

This is still a bit misleading visually, because the population numbers for the bars are totalled, not distributed among the partner counts within each category. Eg. each partner count within the 2-10 partner bar has an average of ~5% of the population, which is less than the 0-partner bar, but they add up to ~45%, more than the 1-partner bar.

I’m a picky slut and only have had seven sexual partners. One of them had over 50, though.

So there’s at least 55 people with no partners we’re making up for

I had 30 that I can actually remember when I count them out. And can only remember the names of 15 of them. So am I down right slut or is this not correct. Maybe it counting woman. Most women I met or been with numbers was in the low tens or single digit numbers. It’s always men who I heard have huge numbers.

Then again some may lie. Once met a 22 year old who claimed he slept with 300 women. I didn’t by that shit at all. At 22 I been with only 4. I didn’t really start getting laid a lot until I discovered online dating. The amount of hookups through that app is off the charts.

Men and women have hooked up with the same number of men and women. Just how the math works out. 1 dude sleeps with 5 different women, means 5 women all added 1 to their number.

Ok but choosing not to mention that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to account for it. It just means you’re being wrong on purpose

It’s over complicating my point when it isn’t necessary at the time. I don’t know the numbers, but most people aren’t having sex with both genders. So yes, there will be variance, but on the whole the numbers will be equal.

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/new-data-here-s-how-many-sexual-partners-most-americans-have-had/ar-BB1ob50P

(This study was conducted by Dr. Jenni Skyler, PhD, LMFT, C-PST, licensed marriage and family therapist, certified sex therapist, board-certified sex researcher and a spokesperson for Adam & Eve, a sex toy company that commissioned the study)

Results suggest nearly 10% of individuals polled said they’d never had sex, while 35% said they’d been with one partner. Forty-three percent reported between two to 10 partners, and 7% had been with 11 to 25 partners. Just over 4% said they’d had intercourse with 26 to 40, 2% said they had 41 to 75, 3% reported 76 to 100 partners, and 3% reported more than 100 partners.

So, if you go by median instead of mean, its probably actually lower than 5 (probably 3 ish?), as 45% of people have had one sexual partner or less.

    Displayed in another way:

    0 partners : 10% of pop.

    1 partner: 35% of pop.

    2 - 10 partners: 43% of pop.

    11 - 25 partners: 7% of pop.

    26 - 40 partners: 4% of pop.

    41 - 75 partners: 2% of pop.

    76 - 100 partners: 3% of pop.

    100+ partners: 3% of pop.

Last time I was on a dating app that had a free commenting ability and like community threads… think it was boo? Some kind of weird, basically instagram but for dating, but everyone just used it like it was instagram…

I’d run into like 23 year olds saying shit like ‘this person my age was saying they’ve got a 200+ body count, is that normal?’

And I’d respond ‘It’s not impossible, but uh, chances are that they’re either lying, or they’re literally a sex worker, pornstar or something, that’s extremely abnormal.’

I’m 35 and in the 11-25 tranche, more than average, maybe even outside of one StdDev, but its astounding how many people think that just everyone has an average of a different sexual partner for every week or two past the age of 16.

There are people that approximate that, but its pretty damn rare.

Consider the fact that people have vastly different opinions on sex. Some people don’t want to do it outside of commitment. Some never want to do it at all.

If your number is higher than the average, it means nothing. The average for your subgroup may be vastly different, so there is no reason to bring in a value judgment.

Tldr: I’d love to see a study of how many different partners the average wild slut has.
