A little googling and I’ve come up with that the name of the woman is Eve Astrid Andersson (now a director at Google) and this was essentially a series of photos taken at her work at the time as a joke.
And that is, as far as one can tell from an image, an actual gun as I doubt an airsoft manufacturer would bother with the gas block or dust cover.
And no flash hider?
I mean, you can get an AR with a crowned barrel.
As a New Yorker, I am unfortunately aware of this…
As a left wing gun enthusiast I’m aware of this because it is how you get a 26" barrel on an AR, no matter which state you’re in, and trust me, I’m from about as right wing as it gets.

I miss xkill after my recent switch to Wayland. I have yet to find a replacement.
Does CTRL-ALT-ESC still work in Wayland (assuming KDE, might be desktop dependent)
Yep, works in KDE.
On Cinnamon (experimental Wayland) it will only work on the Desktop wallpaper area.
So, you have to start it while your cursor is over the wallpaper, but then you can click on windows to kill them, right?
