Lost a job to specifically to this. Fired me because i was too angery. I’m not angry. I’m busy working as a line cook. I’m speaking directly whilst juggling a half dozen thing’s. But whatever

My experience was that that was the dish washer, cook was pretty chill AFAIK. Looking back he was probably stoned tho

My experience being 3 really shitty days as a busser at a bad mexican food sports bar (during spring break, while i was in high school) before quitting, so not really worth much. The most important thing i learned there is that the law doesn’t give a fuck if you’re still in school, only over and under 18 matters.

This gotta be an american thing, right? Like here in europe it’s quite common to be expressionless to some degree. I don’t know anyone who tries to look happy just for the sake of keeping appearances up.

That might be Moody Europe, in Happy Europe you have to be constantly emoting like a maniac (and remember to move your hands!)

I’m in Europe, I know this one person that does this. It’s honestly exhausting, always happy no matter what even when shit is falling from the ceiling.

This person says it is the usual behaviour it has, but many times I felt it was a facade. But hey, who am I to judge.

When I lose my mask, I tend to speak as if I’m “reading from a book” (as a friend had confusingly mentioned, not in an offensive manner). Some people take offense to it, for some reason assuming I’m constantly providing thinly veiled insults…

Sometimes it’s just easier to mask. Sometimes it’s near impossible to keep up the act. I’ve noticed my ability to mask has been fading more the older I get, yet I’m unsure if this is expected of the condition.
