    Once you get past the uniforms, it is just a regular place. I remember going there with my parents for no other reason than they were hungry and it was the only place open in the area at the time. I was uncomfortable, because of its reputation and my puritanical hangups as a kid (despite being raised Catholic). But like, genuinely with all the casinos and bars my mom frequented, it really was just about grabbing food and a beer.

    And if you have issues about people objectifying waitstaff, I have some bad news about the service industry as a whole. The horror stories seem about equal in their frequency.

      Yeah Hooters gets away with so much of what they do (did?) thanks to the fact that women in almost any service industry role are treated the same if not worse, but with the thin veneer of modesty.
