When creating a post, how do you tag users who are on different instances? For example, I’m creating a post on pixelfed.ca and I want to tag someone on pxlfd.ca. The tagging menu seems to only show users in the local instance. In the comments section, I have no problems mentioning users in other instances.

    Can’t you just type @user@instance

    So if I want to tag my pixelfed account here, I would type:

    @stoy@metapixl.com

      Nope, it doesn’t work. I can manually type your username into the search box, but nothing appears. To be clear, I’m talking about tagging someone in a picture, not a comment. If it makes a difference, I’m using the Pixelfed website, not an app.
