Yes, as a Brit I’m a bit of a beer snob. Some of the best beers I have ever tasted have been from independent breweries in the USA and Canada. It’s really very different from how it was a few decades ago, when good beer was hard to find in these countries. Now it seems to be everywhere.

I went to a wedding in Northern California back in 2019 and travelled around for a couple weeks, from New Zealand. It was just a glorious haze of 7% IPAs and legal weed. I loved it!

As a Boston resident: New England has a bonkers craft beer scene. If you’re a serious enthusiast, I suggest a visit… though if you aren’t already living here, maybe after all of this idiocy shakes out one way or the other 😬

Oh cool, thanks for the tip! Yeah I think after all the idiocy shakes out sounds like a good plan. I reckon a NEIPA in those parts would be like a Guinness in Dublin!

Hey, maybe by then the Patriots will be back on top! (Referring to the NFL team, but I guess your could take it more literally, too 😬)

Honestly, you’ll be spoiled for choice. There’s a ton of great breweries all over. The NEIPAs are very good, but there’s also some REALLY good traditional Germanic-styled breweries. I’d be happy to offer some recommendations (or meet for a pint or two!) whenever you get the chance to visit :)
