Sprinklers reacting to smoke - they react to heat.

All sprinklers going off at the same time - only the ones affected will.

The water spraying out is clear - it’s black sludge.

A plumber using a huge wrench under the sink, usually working on the p-trap and then water starts spraying - you don’t need a big wrench for that job and there is no pressurized water inside sewers.

Archers effortlessly holding their bows waiting for the command to all release at once - the draw weight of a war bow is so immense that you’re physically unable to hold it for more than seconds.

Regarding the sprinklers all going off. I assume you’re familiar with the type that have the glass bulb type that has water in the system waiting to drop. I enquired about this years ago at work here in Australia where we use those types of systems ( I was an electrical fire alarm tech/ installer for a long time ) There are “dry” types that don’t have the glass bulbs and no water in them. When there’s a fire the water gets pumped through the system. I don’t actually know what sets them off to be honest.

Often in dry pipe setups there is still a stopper in all of the sprinkler heads that has to melt to let the water out. This is common in places like datacenters or other places where accidentally hitting the sprinkler head would cause major damage from the water.

Basically smoke/heat detectors trigger the pipe to fill, then heat from the fire releases sprinklers wherever it is hot enough to melt the stopper.

But I suppose there are cases where the fire might be expected to spread so fast that they don’t put the stoppers in and just let all of them go.
