Yeah it is funny looking over the last 45 years and its like clearly we have one party destroying things and one that mostly has to go around and fix whats been destroyed and occasionally can get far enough to build out a bit more or better. Its randomly switching from better to worse because better is not perfect that has been killing us.
OP, this is a false equivalency. Your position doesn’t lead to progress, IMO. In a two party system, you select the lesser of two evils and spend as many days as possible holding that lesser evil to account. The simplicity of the false equivalency you strike is only meant to provide some relief for yourself, because the proper path I outline above is fucking exhausting, but unfortunately necessary. If/when you say “It all sucks” you just wash your hands, feel above and move on.
If you don’t agree with a two party system (I don’t know anyone that enjoys this shit) then focus this wasted energy on advocating wholeheartedly for a better way to vote that allows for the participation of third parties, ranked choice or something of that path of thought. If any of the current third parties were serious or anything beyond vanity projects and active spoiler campaigns on behalf of bad actors (Stein) then they would do the same - instead of showing up every 4 years, tainting democracy and then not doing SHIT for the interim.
