I haven’t been to BCLs recently but I’m really hoping taking American liquor out means they’ve brought a better selection of our local stuff in cause we have some really great breweries and distilleries in BC and it’s hard to find their stuff.

I think it’s kind of the opposite. The Bible was written as a response to and warning of human greed. The fashion in which people come to power has changed since then, but human greed doesn’t change.

The irony is not lost that the Bible itself was turned into a tool for greed and oppression, but I think that the actual core of the religion (Christ’s teachings or whatever) were meant to warn people about the dangers of doing greedy human things.

Not stuck anymore but I was for like a month. I bought Pretty Litter cause multiple drag queens I liked told me to do so. That is the worst goddamn litter I have EVER used in my life. The smell was horrendous, the dust was so so bad I actually couldn’t even be in the next room when my partner did the litter because of my allergies, and our house looked like a fucking beach. Outside of Western religions there are plenty of other cool non-male deities. There’s lots of pagan goddesses.

The only “feminine” or female deity that is maybe as well known as “God” would be like nature as it is often referred to as “mother” nature and in she/her. Though I’m not sure pantheists or other religions would refer to her strictly as a goddess.

Western religions talk about a male god because western societies are patriarchal; they need it to support a male-dominated societal structure.
