  • He was an old pensioner in New Zealand and spent his days modifying and old Indian scout motorcycle. He melted down scrap and casted his own parts. There was no place in New Zealand flat enough and long enough for him to really see how fast his bike would go. He got a lot of support from the locals to raise money and was able to make the journey to the United States to go to Death Valley, where he and his old motorcycle were underestimated by all. But he crushed the land speed records (in his category) which may still be unbroken today. He was infectiously likeable and a really unexpected god of speed, the ultimate underdog










  • The volume seems pretty good considering that you have those compound movements in there which count for a bit more than isolation exercises.

    The variation is probably optional, you’re still in the beginner stages you’ll pack on muscle just brushing up against the weights. Since one of your goals is improving pull-ups I think you may be better served doing pullups more often. Maybe swap out dumbbell hammer curls on pull day 2 for more pullups?


  • You’re describing lateral raises, and because the lever (your arm from shoulder to hand) is so long, you are more mechanically disadvantaged vs when you are doing curls. So it’s normal that you can’f lift as much.

    Different exercises can have different training frequencies. You can train arms 3 times per week, but deadlifts for example, work huge muscles and are much more exhausting, so once per week is typically enough for those.

    Rep ranges for hypertrophy are typically anywhere between 8 and 30 (or more). So stick with 15lbs for the lateral raises and increase your number of reps over time. Once you hit 20 for example, then try increasing the weight and dropping the reps back down to 8, and work your way back up, repeat

    The fitness wiki is a great resource, read up a bit and hop on one of the routines recommended there. It will answer a ton of your questions and also give you incredible results compared to just winging it
