Too much credit is given to Trump, which means that if Trump leaves office people will think everything is fixed despite all the other people who steer Trump towards his worst impulses will still be around wreaking havoc.

Trump is 90% a figurehead for the shitty conservatives who wrote Project 2025. He didn’t come up with most of this stuff, he is just going along with it. The 10% of the time things are his idea are fucking terrible too, but he definitely doesn’t deserve most of the credit.

Or they keep explaining what you already said because they don’t understand nuance or context.

Never expect people to change for the better. It isn’t impossible, but it is unlikely without some kind of major event in their lives that they learn from.

Are all of the people qualified? Then everything past that is likely to be subjective as to what ‘more capable means’.

If so, odds are pretty high that what the hiring person thinks are more capable are just people that fut their preconceived notions of who is likely to be more qualified. Generally that is tall, white men.

Not to mention there is a lot more to being effective workers, like communication and collaboration. A more diverse workforce tends to increase communication and collaboration when being diverse and inclusive are goals.

Not to mention people can grow as they get experience. So even if they aren’t the most capable at the time of hiring, they might be in a few years. And if people don’t get any experience, they will always have a disadvantage against even less capable people who have more experience. It is a feedback loop that makes even a small amount of discrimination have a mush larger effect.

That opinion assumes the people who weren’t being hired due to discrimination are less capable. Which is the kind of thing people use to justify discrimination.

Also we hate nazis as individuals, because being a nazi requires being a fascist piece of shit. Calling them horrible isn’t a stereotype, because we are not generalizing, just acknowledging.

What the fuck is context anyway?

All black colleges exist because blacks were excluded from existing colleges. Not because there were all white colleges, but because they were excluded from the vast majority of colleges.

They have remain because of ongoing racism at other colleges. A group that is discriminated against by society as a whole limiting who can join their spaces is not discrimination.

There are no extreme forms of DEI because DEI is just making sure that everyone is able to be included and to discourage discrimination.

An all black college for example is not DEI. It is trying to counter systemic racism by providing opportunities to those that have historically and currently been excluded, so the goals are the same but it isn’t DEI.

I’m shocked 100 people were able to overcome the indoctrination and were able to make the allegations.

‘Diversity hire’ was a slur agsinst minorities and women for decades before DEI became a term. Turning DEI into a slur ss just the expanded version of the same thing since it also includes equity and inclusion.

Conservatives sure like twisting positive things into scary stories to rile up their base.

Unless DoGe staff are thrown in jail for breaking the law they will continue to do so no matter what happens in the courtroom. Making them stop is not a consequence.

And if they disagree but understand the purpose then they can sell their car and use the money to buy a new one and the old one is still on the road so the letter backfires.

I get the idea behind the letter, just don’t think it will do what it is intended to do.

Boycots only work so far as people agree with you.

So does writing a letter to someone to pass their swazticar on to someone else.
