Typical corporate “cut to profitability” attitude coupled with extreme stupidity when he doesn’t understand what he’s looking at, so he says “that looks stupid” and cuts it. Doesn’t want to take any time to understand because cuts are easy, learning why things might be necessary even if you don’t like them at face value requires effort and nuance. Something conservatives aren’t interested in.
You can get a sense of the true intelligence of a person if, when presented with something unfamiliar or that doesn’t interest them, they dismiss it as “stupid and worthless”.
