The other day I was trying to get the facts on how effective it actually is for humans to digest grass out of curiosity, and underneath the unwelcome AI answers was a series of thumbnails of tiktoks / youtube shorts with people dressed like fucking clowns doing this thing where they put their face way too close to the camera, make a stupid face, and point at something.

Basically,

Not saying you’re wrong or anything, but comments like these always feel like a colossal understatement to me, having been recently personally involved with the unfeeling horror of this healthcare system dealing with someone who is near terminal, and then terminally ill.

As in, I don’t personally believe it should qualify as manslaughter, I think it should qualify those responsible as irredeemable fodder you can freely slay without guilt. Like, faceless bad guy in a video game status.

I mean… yes. For at least two reasons given in this comment, let alone whatever other vile shit this fucker was surely up to.

I would not have anticipated that the decline of the American empire would be this embarrassing, but it’s nice to have some unexpected laughs along the way.

I’m sure you’re right, but I think it’s important to have things like this. I feel like it reminds people of the positive accomplishments of past struggles, and inspires them with hope for the future, especially as a counter to the despair wrought by his assassination. It also serves to legitimize and solidify the spirit of those struggles, and there are only a handful of struggles as worth remembering and celebrating as Sankara’s movement.

Making it a public space with open areas and not some sealed off monolith makes it even more valid too, imo.

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again: all attempts at “legitimate” criticism levied at the DPRK by Western entities are akin to beating a dog within an inch of its life, keeping it trapped in a cage for years, and then mocking it for moving with a limp.
